1.25 Miles

The 440 Greenway between Centennial Park and Elmington Park provides green space recreation and a low-stress transportation for cyclists and pedestrians. This segment is the first of a planned 7-mile greenway corridor along I-440 that will provide green space recreation and meaningful transportation options while connecting numerous neighborhoods that are currently divided by interstates 40 and 440.

The Browns Creek Greenway at Browns Creek Park is located in the Battlemont neighborhood, featuring green space loops among mature trees. Many neighbors enjoy this greenway for dog walks and running or walking laps.

The Browns Creek Greenway at Fair Park is immediately adjacent to Nashville’s new professional soccer stadium and is a segment of the City Central Greenway System. Notable features include dog park, a picnic pavilion (or two), four multi-purpose fields, and the restored riparian border along this segment of Browns Creek.

The Crooked Branch Greenway is nestled in Crooked Branch Park in the northeastern section of Davidson County. A quiet looping greenway close to the Cumberland River and Crooked Branch Creek that hosts a small seasonal wetland among its ample trees.

Cumberland River Greenway at MetroCenter Levee is the northern gateway to Cumberland River Greenway on the river’s western bank. Users enjoy an expansive view of the Cumberland River from atop the massive man-made levee that protects MetroCenter’s businesses and residences as well as the Ted Rhodes Golf Course and Park.

This short segment of the Cumberland River Greenway is contained within R. H. Boyd-Preston Taylor Park and weaves between Preston Taylor Homes, McKissack Middle School, and its most northerly border of Alameda Street.

3.4 Miles

The Downtown section of the Cumberland River Greenway follows the winding course of the Cumberland River from MetroCenter to the heart of downtown, providing views of the river along the way. Users can also access Morgan Park and Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, each via a short spur. Despite the urban setting, the river’s natural features are still in evidence, and the greenway passes through a rapidly redeveloping area of town.

Cumberland Park is one of Nashville’s Play Parks including and interactive water-splash pad. The East Bank Greenway extends from Cumberland Park along the river past Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans football team.

This urban greenway is in the heart of downtown Nashville and is a segment of the City Central Greenway System. The Gulch Greenway offers residents, workers, and visitors a linear park connection to Frankie Pierce Park, Capitol View, and the Gulch.

The Harpeth River Greenway features a winding rural greenway trail along the beautiful Harpeth River, a designated State Scenic River. One of Metro Parks’ earliest greenways, this segment of the Harpeth River Greenway is accessible from two trailheads inside Edwin Warner Park, Bellevue Exchange Club Complex, Harpeth Valley Golf Center, as well as several other neighborhood accesses. It includes a boardwalk overlooking the river and is a favorite destination for wildflowers, birders, and wildlife viewing.

Linking Downtown to East Nashville, this pedestrian bridge is one of Nashville’s most famous greenway features. A historic truss bridge that spans the Cumberland River, it has become an iconic Nashville landmark, providing amazing views of the city skyline.

The Mill Creek Greenway comprises 6 segments of greenway along Mill Creek, a stream that meanders from its source near Nolensville across southeastern Davidson County before giving its waters to the Cumberland River. The Mill Creek Greenway at Antioch Park offers park access from Antioch Community Center as well as Antioch Middle School.

The Mill Creek Greenway comprises 6 segments of greenway along Mill Creek, a stream that meanders from its source near Nolensville across southeastern Davidson County before giving its waters to the Cumberland River. This most southern segment of the Mill Creek Greenway unites Mill Creek Park to playing fields and playground at Orchard Bend Park. A bucolic greenway that meanders along the creek, this greenway provides park access to several adjacent neighborhoods as well as the Thurgood Marshall Middle/A.Z. Kelley Elementary School campuses.

3.7 Miles

Peeler Park Greenway meanders through Peeler Park, a 636 acre pastoral park tucked away at the end of a curve in the Cumberland River known as Neely’s Bend. Its bucolic setting on the river features a greemway, primitive hiking trails, equestrian trails, and an airfield for remote-controlled planes.

The Richland Creek Greenway at England Park follows the creek from the West Police Precinct on Charlotte Pike to England Park and its quiet neighborhood just north of Interstate 40.

The Richland Creek Greenway at McCabe Park crisscrosses the creek several times as it encircles the McCabe Golf Course. This greenway features several neighborhood accesses, the McCabe Community Center and baseball fields, and greenway connectors to nearby shopping centers. Nashville State Community College and Tennessee College of Applied Technology campuses also enjoy direct access to this popular suburban greenway treasure.

This greenway is part of the residential development off of 1st Avenue just south of Downtown and offers scenic views of the skyline and the Cumberland River, as well as a connection to Riverfront Park and Ascend Amphitheater.

The Seven Mile Creek Greenway begins in Whitfield Park and follows along the banks of this urban waterway. This greenway is also located immediately adjacent is the 259-acre Ellington Agriculture Center, home to the Tennessee Department of Agriculture since 1958. The Center’s grounds showcase demonstration gardens and are a popular spot for birding.

9.7 Miles

The Shelby Bottoms Greenway extends from the heart of Shelby Park, past the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center, and throughout Shelby Bottoms – a 950-acre floodplain preserve along the Cumberland River. The Shelby Bottoms Greenway features relatively flat and meandering, multi-use greenway pathway, river overlooks, and an internal observation platform for studying the local ecosystem. The greenway also leads to the parks’ unpaved nature trails, the Cornelia Fort Air Park, and the tremendous Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge that joins to the Stones River Greenway. Shelby Bottoms Greenway includes Fortland Ave.,Shadow Lane, and Cooper Creek greenway connectors.

The Stones River Greenway extends from the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge and Shelby Bottoms to the J. Percy Priest Dam Trailhead and dog park, with connectors to Hickory Hill, the Donelson-Hermitage YMCA, and Stewarts Ferry Pike. You will also pass through Two Rivers Park with its own popular dog park, Heartland Park, Lytle Park, and Ravenwood Park along the way.

The Stones River Greenway extends from the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge and Shelby Bottoms to the J. Percy Priest Dam Trailhead and dog park, with connectors to Hickory Hill, the Donelson-Hermitage YMCA, and Stewarts Ferry Pike. You will also pass through Two Rivers Park with its own popular dog park, Heartland Park, Lytle Park, and Ravenwood Park along the way.

This scenic greenway follows Whites Creek, connecting Hartman Park and Community Center with Joseph Brown Mullins Park and 180 acres of park open space. Picnic shelters and trailheads are located in both parks and there is also a greenway loop in Mullins Park.
